For users who need both high quality and fast performance,
Wasp Barcode Technologies recently launched a new line of barcode printers—the Wasp WPL612, Wasp WPL406, and Wasp WPL304. These additions to
Wasp’s trusted fleet fit perfectly in both industrial and office settings.
Wasp WPL612: Powerful, yet fast
Wasp specifically designed the
Wasp WPL612, the most powerful barcode printer in its line, for industrial use. With all-metal construction, the printer can withstand even tough production environments. This includes environments such as manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and receiving.
Customers with a need for speed will enjoy the printer’s ability to produce 20,000 labels in one run and its print speed of 12 inches per second. Users can adjust print resolution all the way to 600 DPI. The Wasp WPL612 performs both thermal transfer and direct thermal printing on labels up to 4.09 inches wide. The printer comes standard with 32 MB of SDRAM and 8 MB of Flash memory, but also includes an expansion slot. What’s more, an integrated LCD control panel allows for easy set-up and printer management.
Wasp WPL406: Durable, all-purpose printer
The
Wasp WPL406 serves as an entry-level industrial printer. Like the heartier WPL612, it can accomplish both thermal transfer and direct thermal printing. It features an all-metal exterior housing and die-cast aluminum print mechanism that holds up in tough environments. Plus, its low-profile design allows it to fit in spaces where larger industrial printers cannot.
Well-suited for a wide range of applications including point-of-sale, asset tracking, shipping, receiving, and inventory labeling, the printer can produce up to 10,000 labels per day. It comes with 8 MB of RAM and an expansion slot.
Wasp WPL304: Small, but mighty
The
Wasp WPL304 is a desktop barcode printer with 8 MB of RAM and an SD card
slot for memory expansion. With the smallest footprint of any Wasp 4-inch format printer, the WPL304 offers a solid choice for cramped workspaces.
The printer creates output at up to 4 inches per second, without between-label delays. It is compatible with ribbon media from
Wasp and other major manufacturers, making it flexible and versatile.
Easy integration
All three of the new printers were designed with quick and easy integration in mind. Each can be connected via an Ethernet connection, or by USB, serial, or parallel. They also come with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty covering material defects.
A WaspProtect extended service plan can increase the warranty period to four years and upgrade coverage to include accidental breakage.
