A multi-tasker like no other, the
Dolphin 70e Black does the work of several devices in a rugged package that can stand up to the abuse of the field.
Companies long for smartphones and other workforce devices that are similar to those employees enjoy at home. With their portability and ease of use, these gadgets make it simple for workers to become more efficient. But most consumer-grade products won’t survive for long in a tough environment, with drops on concrete and short battery life.
The compact design of the Dolphin 70e Black allows it to fit in the user's pocket.
That’s why
Honeywell created the Dolphin 70e Black, a rugged enterprise hybrid device (EHD) that also features scanning capabilities.
Easy to hold, hard at work
The Dolphin 70e Black offers the attractive, easy-to-use style of a consumer device, combined with the ruggedness of a traditional industrial mobile computer. Created for auto-identification and data capture applications, it is sleeker and lighter than a typical AIDC industrial device. This makes it ideal for field professionals, logistics, health care, retail and other industries.
"Dolphin Black reflects two device trends in today’s industrial world: consolidation and consumerization,” said John Waldron, president of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “Workers and enterprises are looking for a single device that can do the work of several. They also want their devices to be as intuitive and easy to use as their personal mobile phones and tablets, but rugged enough to survive the environment of today’s mobile professional."
Tough enough for spills and drops
The Dolphin 70e Black sports a Corning Gorilla Glass display, and its housing is designed to withstand multiple 4-foot drops to concrete, as well as more than 1,000 half-meter tumbles. The 4.3-inch touch screen can be read in various lighting conditions - including direct sunlight - making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
Additional features include:
- Full wireless coverage that provides real-time access to critical data
- An enterprise-class area-imaging scanner
- Up to 12 hours of battery life, as well as a user-replaceable battery
- A dust-proof housing and an IP67 rating that allows for submersion in water
- The ability to operate in conditions as cold as -4°F
- A small design that fits in the pocket, at around ¾ inches thick and 7 ounces
- Microsoft Windows or Google Android operating system
Compatible with Honeywell’s turnkey remote management solution, Remote MasterMind, the Dolphin 70e Black can be tracked and managed in real time from any location, reducing the total cost of ownership incurred with mobile deployments.
Honeywell’s Service Made Simple Service Plans can be purchased to cover the device, with hassle-free protection for up to five years after purchase. This extends the product life expectancy beyond the norm for consumer-grade devices.
