The Client
United Mechanical is a Dallas-based mechanical contractor offering a wide range of services encompassing every phase of mechanical work including plumbing, welding, piping, sheet metal, HVAC, and design build services. United Mechanical is dedicated to the timely completion of every project; no matter how large or small. The service department is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Challenge
United Mechanical’s employees use thousands of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment to complete thousands of mechanical work service projects for clients every day. The tools were being tracked manually via a paper-based, handwritten sign-out sheet. This antiquated system was inefficient and largely underutilized by employees which led to lost or misplaced tools.
The company needed a solution which would enable them to easily track the location of each tool as well as who last used the tool.
The Solution

The Result
Since implementing AssetCloud, tool loss has been eliminated. It’s also much easier to identify the location of each tool as well as who last checked the tool in or out.
