The WWS500 uses the latest Bluetooth technology to communicate with a PC or Bluetooth-capable mobile device. Users simply attach the Bluetooth adaptor to a PC’s USB port, or use the built-in HID Bluetooth of a mobile device. Scans then can be performed up to 160 feet away from the PC or device.

The WWS500 scanner quickly and accurately captures data from a variety of items. Its aggressive CCD scanning engine can scan up to 10 inches away and reads all popular linear (1D) barcodes. The rechargeable Lithium-ion battery is integrated into the scanner’s handle and features an extremely long battery life that will last for more than 25,000 continuous scans. The scanner can withstand drops to concrete of up to 5 feet and sports a durable ABS plastic housing.

The WWS500 is ideal for retail stores, especially outlets such as nurseries and hardware stores that have bulky items at check out, or service retailers such as business printing shops where multi-step jobs needs to be scanned and tracked. In addition, the lightweight and accurate device is ideal for pharmacy and healthcare applications, active shipping and receiving locations, library or tool rooms, and general office use.
