Wasp Barcode Technologies ranked 33rd fastest-growing private firm in area
Company recognized as leader in Collin County, Texas
PLANO, Texas – June 2, 2008 – Wasp Barcode Technologies has earned recognition as one of the fastest-growing private companies in Collin County, Texas, coming in at No. 33 in the Comerica Bank Collin 60 Awards. This is the first time Wasp has won this local award.

The awards recognize companies for revenue growth over a three-year period starting with 2004. Sales in the initial year had to range between $250,000 and $20 million. In 2007, Wasp turned in record revenue and profitability that continued a trend of strong growth in both of these measures over the last decade.

“Thanks to new and updated products, aggressive marketing efforts and expanded partner relationships, Wasp has experienced continued growth over the past several years,” said Tom O’Shea, general manager for Wasp Barcode Technologies. “Even as the economy has softened in 2008, we’re still seeing high demand for our products and strong financial results this year.”
